In our Asian-American culture, there is a strong emphasis upon sports and recreation. Great opportunities are present for us to use these interests as a vehicle through which people can come to know Jesus Christ, and believers can grow in their relationship with Him and others. In I Corinthians 9:22, the apostle Paul said, “I have become all things to all men that I may, by all means, save some.” Paul encouraged us to utilize what was culturally important and to do what was best for the sake of the gospel. Therefore, we believe that it is advantageous for us to reach Asian-Americans where they’re at… on the sports fields and courts!Through our outreach activities, we provide a positive atmosphere in which spiritual, emotional, and social needs can be met. Individuals will have an enjoyable time, build friendships, and in a non-threatening setting hear about Jesus Christ. It is our desire that God would touch and change people’s lives, and as relationships are developed seekers would be assimilated into local churches.
