ABOUT US: Family and ministry

Our family is a mixture of size, hair color, birthplaces, skills, and spoken languages.

Our vision is straightforward:

Be intentional to share the Good News + Make disciples + Prepare them for service;

Recruit more laborers,

Collaborate with other ministries,

and Plant new churches.

We arrived in Nagasaki in May of 2021 and our goal is to reach the surrounding towns with no evangelical churches.

We met in Japan in 1999 where we got married and also served at a Latino church. In the States, from 2004 to 2009, we pioneered a Hispanic ministry in an American church in the Chicagoland area. In 2010, we went to Brazil where we served through street evangelism and later pioneered a family ministry, producing books, study material, and ministering seminars in churches and schools.

GET INVOLVED: HOW YOU CAN HELP

In the 16th century, brave Portuguese missionaries gave their lives to share the Message, beginning in the area of Nagasaki. Many Japanese who believed the Gospel also gave their lives for it during a great persecution that took place soon after. Now, nearly 500 years later, God has called us to this same region, and we are calling all servants of the Lord to join us in this venture to share the Good News in the Nagasaki area. To surrounding towns with no churches…yet!

After finishing our commitments in the Tokyo area (2018-2021), we moved to Nagasaki, the area that God put on our hearts since 2015.

After a long journey, we are finally here, since May 2021. To our amazement, God is constantly opening new doors and has given us favor with the local communities and existing churches in the region.

We are currently serving at Lifeshare Christian Center in Nagayo. https://lifesharenagasaki.com/

It is a privilege to be the hands and feet of Jesus here and we want to extend this opportunity to you!

It is true that our mission now is nothing compared to those of 500 years ago. Currently, we do not face the threat of losing our heads, but we know in the spiritual world, the battle is still great. No mission was ever accomplished alone or with no risk-taking. But it is also exciting! That's the nature of the Kingdom. We get His direction, step out in faith and see what He will do! But in order to do that, it will always cost us something (or everything!). Thankfully the reward is guaranteed and backed up by the King of kings Himself.

We need people committed to intercession. We need teams coming. We need finances to move forward.

Would you be willing to "risk" even $10 per month for this mission to happen? The amount of a couple Happy Meals, or a pizza, per month? Of course, in a country as expensive as Japan, we need much more than that to provide a "happy meal" for our family, so if God has blessed you in such a manner that you are able to commit to $50, $100, $200 or more, please do so! All through the years we have seen His hand of provision and can assure you that His word is true: "Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us, your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God." (2 Cor. 9:10,11) This only proves what a friend taught us once: "We can never outgive God, but it is fun to try!"

Investing in the Kingdom has eternal and global results!

"…So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it…" Isaiah 55:11

PRAYER. We know that without prayer, very little can be accomplished in the Kingdom. To print a support/prayer card to remember to pray for our family, or share it with someone else, please click HERE.
