Hello friends and family,

I’m thrilled to share some exciting news—I will be going to Japan this summer on a short-term missions trip for 2 ½ weeks!

I’ll be partnering with JEMS (Japanese Evangelical Missionary Society), a ministry that has been faithfully reaching people for Jesus both in Japan and the U.S. for 77 years.

This will be my fourth overseas mission trip. In the past, I’ve served in Peru on a medical mission and helped with a Vacation Bible School in Kenya. This May, I’ll also have the opportunity to serve with a Bible college in Denmark. God has given me a heart for missions, and my interest in Japan and South American culture led me to this opportunity. Mark 16:15 "He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation."

You might wonder how a mission trip relates to South American culture—this trip will give me the chance to serve a Brazilian Japanese population in Toyohashi, Japan, combining my passions for both cultures. During our time there, we’ll help with church programs, teaching, kids’ activities, music, and other community support. We’ll be there from July 29 through the first two weeks of August, and I plan to keep everyone updated while I’m there.
