Japan General Fund

JEMS is committed to the care and support of our missionaries in Japan. Missionaries make a huge sacrifice to live in a foreign country, away from their families and friends. They can experience culture shock, burnout, depression, marital difficulties, and more.

We use the Japan General Fund to grow the ministry of JEMS to Japan. We do this both directly (to individual missionary family units) and indirectly (through support systems/programs which benefit all).

For example, this fund enables us to offer Member Care retreats so that our missionaries can meet with and encourage each other. It is also used to pay for counseling services and other available resources. Unexpected emergencies can arise; if the missionaries are unable to cover certain emergency costs, we do our best to provide a safety net through the Japan General Fund.

This fund also makes it possible for us to have office staff who are dedicated to supporting, caring for, and advocating for our Japan missionaries. We established a JEMS Japan entity at the end of 2025, which will enable us to hire Japanese Christians and to sponsor visas for future JEMS staff; this fund will cover ongoing administrative costs for it.

Your prayers and generosity to our Japan General Fund are greatly appreciated. Thank you for directly impacting our missionaries, and thus helping to reach Japan, through your generosity.

Please donate to support our efforts to equip, encourage, and care for our missionaries in Japan!
