SUMMER MISSIONS

STM 2026.png

The goal of the summer mission program is that you would fall in love with the people and country of Japan! Less than 1% are gospel believing Christians. So you will have cross-cultural experiences as you share your faith, build lasting friendships, and help local congregations reach out to their communities. We want your relationship to God deepen because of serving in Japan. God may call you to become a career missionary, and perhaps the journey begins here! You'll be helping JEMS reach Japan, one person at a time!

- Trip Dates: End of July - August 2026

- Three Weeks

- The team will be serving in Sapporo, Tokyo, Nagoya, Toyohashi, or Osaka.

***Application deadline: 12/19/2025

What you can expect from JEMS

We can create giving pages for the summer missionaries, but there is a 10% admin fee, so it is cheaper if the sending church were to take care of the support raising and collection of funds. JEMS will help create a budget, so the individual knows how much he/she needs to raise and what the funds are going towards.

JEMS can provide the necessary training (culture, language, writing a testimony, how to teach English, etc.) for the summer mission trip. The Exec. Director of International Missions, will do the training. Possibly with another JEMS staff.

Will connect the leader of the summer mission team with their Japanese receiving church. We hope that a long-term partnership will develop as they spend more time together.

IN JAPAN

JEMS will meet the team at the airport and get them to their respective ministry locations.

Help with ta-q-bin at the airport. (luggage delivery service)

Be available throughout the trip for any major issues.
