Hi! My name is Scott Shimada and I was born and raised in the Bay Area before moving to Southern California to attend UC Riverside. There, I learned what it means to follow Jesus and for the past 30 years, I have been the Youth Pastor at the San Lorenzo Japanese Christian Church. And while I have loved my time there, God has shown that He now has new plans for me. I will now get to combine my love of sports and my love for Jesus and become the new Sports and Outreach Director. As the Founder of Play4Him.org, God has given me a unique opportunity to work closely with sports professionals. The hope is to host outreach events to bring the Gospel to people who may not want to visit a church but would gladly come to an event to hear a professional athlete share. I would love to meet with local church leaders to find out ways we can support them and help reach people in their communities.
