Donations to our general fund directly cover the necessary overhead costs required of us to conduct Gospel ministry in the US and Japan with excellence, love, and integrity.
Just as many consumers are unaware of the costs that business owners must incur for them to function as a business in the U.S., many people are also unaware of the overhead costs needed for a church or missionary agency like JEMS to operate and simply do Gospel ministry and missions work.
The following are only some of our ministry overhead costs:
Salaries for home office personnel, expenses for developing and maintaining staff recruitment, training and care to ensure longevity and effectiveness in ministry and the mission field, maintenance and operation costs of our Downtown LA JEMS office building, liability and medical insurance coverages for office and field staff, expenses incurred because of a variety of mandated Federal, State, County and City regulations and policies, costs to maintain and ensure the financial soundness and efficiency of our accounting practices and procedures, unforeseen expenses due to emergencies, and much more.
In short, your donation to the JEMS general fund supports the good work that God doing through all the JEMS ministries, campus ministers, and Japan missionaries. Thank you so much for believing in what God is doing in and through JEMS!
