Short Term Missions

2018 Brazil or Paraguay Team  (2 or 3 weeks between June 24 and July 30)

In Acts 16, we read about the Apostle Paul receiving a vision inviting him to proclaim the gospel in Macedonia:

A vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man of Macedonia was standing and appealing to him, and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” When he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.

Dreams and visions were a way that God spoke to his people in the early church.  He continues to speak to us today.  But simply because we don’t receive a vision, does that mean God isn’t inviting us to serve him?  I think that God often uses an inclination of the heart, the nudging of the Holy Spirit to make us aware of opportunities to minister.  The key now as back in the first century is the willingness of the hearer.  I mean, you remember Jonah, right?

I’d like you to be aware that God continues to extend the invitation to serve him.  I’d like you to consider South America!

Churches in South America are looking for folks to partner with them this summer as they reach their communities with the good news of Christ.  They desire to join hands with you in fulfillment of the Great Commission.  Would you consider being a part of that partnership?

From a timetable standpoint, we are looking at two to three weeks or more of ministry between June 24th and July 30.  If you can fit in your mission service within that time frame, it would be great.  Team composition may be made up of church teams (meaning that the members are from the same church), from campus ministries, or by assembling a team of interested individuals.
